February has been a busy week. While I haven’t made much updates on the main websites, I kept my active Patrons posted as we didn’t have stable internet access until the middle of February. Now, Shukofukurou for macOS 3.4 Beta 1 is now released, which adds the update history, fixes a few bugs and make some changes to the adult content filter, required to meet Apple’s App Store Guidelines. However, non-app store versions can still view adult content and disable the filter by enabling the “Show 18+ Content” option in the settings. The update is uploaded to the Github Repo, but should be added to the Shukofukurou Next Appcast for automatic updates.
The change log is below.
New Features
- Added Local Update History
Bug Fixes and Enhancements
- Stream Links button shouldn’t appear until the data is loaded.
- Implement content filtering to filter out mature content to comply with Apple’s Guide Lines. Non-App Store version can still view filtered content by enabling Show 18+ Content setting
- Various fixes
Now I have received some questions regarding Hachidori and I will answer them.
I can’t see the Hachidori Icon, but it’s prompting me to login. Is the app working properly?
Yes. macOS will hide additional icons if you have too many icons on your menubar. This is common when you are using a lower resolution or make the text/UI elements bigger if you have a retina screen Mac. Note that all the functionality happens as a menuitem and you may need to remove some icons on the menubar or close the associated apps. If you can’t do that, I highly suggest using an app called Bartender which allows you to hide menu bar icons to a special area. Note that this is a shareware app and we do not provide support for it.
How do I use Plex detection with shared libraries?
You direct the URL to the plex server you are sharing and login with your Plex credentials. You shouldn’t need special privileges to use the Plex XML API used on a shared server. You may need to enable the “Allow Plugins” permission under Restrictions for the user.
How do I enable MultiScrobble?
You need a donation license to enable this feature or be an active Patron and use a Patron license key. Once you enter a donation key, you can enable this feature under Preferences and select which accounts to use for MultiScrobble. Note that the account needs to be logged in for the services you enable with this feature.
This applies to all apps:
I use AniList and none of the functions works. What gives?
Note that AniList OAuth tokens only last a year with no refresh token. This means you have to log out and log back in. In future versions, we will add a feature that allows you to simply reauthorize your account and prompt you for that. Note that when you reauthorize the account once this feature is implemented, it must be the same account or it will fail.
