Just recently, Apple has rejected a bug fix release of Shukofukurou for iOS because of objectionable content (pornographic content). While the titles they provide as examples are not exactly classified as adult content, Apple has strict guidelines when it comes to content ratings.
Since our app is rated 12+, this poses an issue with titles that contain “ecchi” or even Hentai in the title. As a result, I have to implement a filter to filter “gray area” titles so that Apple will be happy in regards to the App Store guidelines. Note that the non-App Store version of Shukofukurou will not have these changes as long as the “Show Adult Content” preference item is checked.
While you cannot search or browse gray area titles, you will still be able to edit entries that contain objectionable content and they will still appear in your library. However, when you view more information, you will only see your entry as it appears in your list, no additional information. Share and “View on (Service)” options will be disabled. To add adult and gray area content, use the macOS non-app store version or add the title on the respective service from your web browser.
This release for iOS will be available on TestFlight soon for testing and will be released in a few days. Also, I apologize for having to make these changes. Blame Apple’s App Store guidelines for these changes.
