MAL Library 2.5.5 (Released March 20, 2018)

This release fixes bugs found with the list importers.

Requires macOS Yosemite 10.10 or later.

  • Fix importing of Kitsu lists that have more than 500 entries.

  • Fix conversion of AniList scores

MAL Library 2.5.4 (Released March 12, 2018)

This release fixes several bugs that got discovered in the past few weeks.

Requires macOS Yosemite 10.10 or later.

Bug Fixes and Enhancements

  • Fix the steppers so that they will increment properly if there is no total chapters/volumes for manga or total episodes for anime.

  • Do not reload title information if the user tries to view a title that is already loaded.

  • Fix setting for window appearance so Profile Browser window doesn’t show if the user haven’t opened it before.

  • Unset Plan to Watch filter for Anime List view in the Profile Browser

  • Do not reload People Browser data if the selected title in the person browser is the same as the one in the title information view

  • Only show distinct voice actors in the voice actor list in Person Browser (e.g. a voice actor won’t appear more than once if he/she voices two or more characters)

MAL Library 2.5.3 (Released February 28, 2018)

This release fixes some bugs with “Sites to Watch Title” and adds missing asset icons for streaming sites added to the because.moe legal streaming dataset. Also, this button will show the correct legal stream information for sequels as well.

  • “Sites to Watch Title” button will only appear when there is sites to stream the title

  • List of streaming sites will now appear for titles that is a sequel

  • Add missing streaming site icons for Amazon, Animax, Tubitv, and Yahoo.

MAL Library 2.5.2 (Non-App Store Only) (Released January 10, 2018)

This release is only for outside the App Store and only makes changes to the free version, adding a few features previously available only in the App Store version. The reminder message can be dismissed in the free version. The full version can be obtained from the App Store

This release improves some aspects of MAL Library by replacing the Status column for type for the Manga List and adds a Type for Manga Search. This release also adds the ability to add/edit and import tags (Import of tags is only supported by MyAnimeList XML import for now).

This is a bug fix build, which fixes a crash when Manga Search columns is changed.

MAL Library 2.3.1 (Released September 29, 2017)

After more testing, I have finally found a permanent fix for the crashing bug (2.3.1 remedied some of this), which has to do with the periodic account verification. The fix is to have the account verification run independent (separate HTTP client) After extensive testing, the bug is now fixed. We apologize for the inconvenience we caused. In the future, we will do additional testing before release to ensure obscure bugs won’t become catastrophic. If you encounter any bugs, you can report them at Github. MAL Library 2.2 (Released July 31, 2017)

  • MAL Functions should work property after refreshing season information in the Seasons browser or performing a Kitsu list import.

  • Airing view now shows airing information for today’s date.

  • Search should work without automatic account verification.

  • Fixed minimum window side for the message composing window.

  • Button positions for Recommended Titles, Adaptations, etc shouldn’t have a huge gap if information for those popovers are not available.

MAL Library 2.1.2 is now released and is required in order for the program to function due to API changes made on MyAnimeList

  • Periodic credentials verification is done every 24 hours to ensure the user’s account credentials is valid before performing operations that require a login.

MAL Library 2.1.1 is now released, which fixes a content-type accept error bug that can prevent most of the functionality from working, especially under macOS 10.13 High Sierra Developer Preview.
